Think deeply about what you really want in your life. Think about what you want to do, not just what you want to be. As a part-time student, working full time, it's not easy to keep all the balls in the air. Having a solid purpose is one thing that keeps you going.
I chose PSU over other programs for its rigorous curriculum and devoted program staff. I have not been disappointed. My cohort is full of excellent human beings with whom I am very lucky to be able to know.
I want to have a wonderful, happy family, and a challenging, purposeful job that I enjoy. I want to have a flexible work-life balance and be financially secure.
A lifelong resident of Oregon, I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2010 with a Bachelor's in Sociology. So, naturally, I became an Information Technology Professional. After 7 years in the field I yearned for "something more". One of my strengths had always been my ability to bridge the gap between the business units and IT, so I decided to lean into that and strengthen my business acumen.
